Dave Williams (sleepydawg) > A good shot of Paul Armstrong. I had been using the D70 Nikor "kit" lens (18-70mm, f3.5) for the rest of these pictures, but this picture was shot with an old non-CPU 50mm fixed lens at f1.4. (I got this lens from my Pop, he used to use it on a F3.) The ISO was set to 1600, the white balance was set to "incandescent", and the exposure is 1/60 of a sec. While you can see some noise typical of the D70 when set to high ISO ranges, I'm stunned at the sharpness and clarity of the image under plain lighting... I need to experiment with this fine piece of glass some more, I think.

Dave Williams (sleepydawg) > Just before I took this shot, I remarked that it was going to be a shot of "The one that got away". I was just kidding, of course, but the pretty blue/white snowman did get grabbed by someone else. Gift exchanges can be mean!
